Lithic Art from The Arrowhead Guy...

Lithic artist Doug Dahl is The Arrowhead Guy! For those of you who haven't met him yet, he's quite a character, or as he would put it, "working hard on becoming a crusty old codger!" But to those in the know, Doug is also one of an elite group of Master Flintknappers, a charter member of the Lithic Artists Guild, a college-level and museum lecturer, an avocational archeologist and site surveyor, a hands-on flintknapping teacher and demonstrator, and one of the first to arrive and the last to leave many survival schools, gatherings, and knap-ins (ncluding his own in his soon-to-be home in Wyoming). In his "spare" time, Doug has managed to finish and now offers for sale his first in a planned series of instructional videos, "Basic Primitive Flintknapping."

"Basic Primitive Flintknapping" is the first in a series of film offerings from Doug, a must -have for anyone who's wanting to learn something other than "copper bopping" from the basics to the finishing touches, and available now DVD as well as video tape. Larry Kinsella, Master Flintknapper and teacher at Cohokia Mounds State Historic Site in Illinois, has given this video his personal "thumbs-up," stating, "I recommend Doug's video for anyone who wants to learn flintknapping." "Straight to the point." "Great for beginners!" High praise indeed from someone as respected as Larry!

Doug is available from time to time for on-site demonstrations, lectures, classes (private and group), as well as site surveys.
